We are delighted to welcome you on our website. Your privacy and the associated protection of your Personal Data are important to us. Therefore, we conduct our business in accordance with the applicable legal provisions on data protection and data security. It is very important to us that you feel safe with us. For this reason, we and our data protection officer ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
We are aware of the importance of the data entrusted to us. In the following, we would like to inform you about:
• for which purposes your (personal) data is collected, processed and used,
• how we handle and protect your data,
• to whom we make the data available and
• how you can exercise your rights.
Please read the following explanations carefully. If you have any questions, please contact our data protection officer. The contact details can be found below in this data privacy statement.
Data protection is a complex topic. In order to facilitate your understanding of this data privacy statement, we have compiled a few basic definitions for you.
A "Contract Processing" (short CP) within the meaning of Art. 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (formerly "Contract Data Processing" (short CDP) according to § 11 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)) is simply understood as a service in which Personal Data is collected, processed and / or used by a service provider (Contract Processor according to GDPR and Contract Data Processor according to BDSG) on behalf of and according to the instructions of the so-called Data Controller. Before such a contract is awarded to a service provider, we conclude a special contract with the service provider and ensure further measures to protect your Personal Data.
"Cookies" are small text files that are saved on your device (e.g. computer or smartphone) and that store certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. A cookie usually contains the name of the website visited, from which the cookie data was sent, information about the age of the cookie and an alphanumeric identifier. Cookies enable our systems to recognize the user's device and to make any presettings immediately available.
Third Party is any natural or legal person or public body other than the person concerned, the Data Controller, the Contract Processor and any persons who, under the direct authority of the Data Controller or Contract Processor, are authorized to process Personal Data, cf. Art. 4 No. 10 GDPR. Therefore, a service provider that is provided with Personal Data in the context of Contract Processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR or § 11 BDSG is not considered a Third Party, for example.
IP Addresses are sequences of digits that can be assigned to individual IT devices or a group of those devices. The IP Address is used, similar to postal addresses, to assign data to the correct recipient.
"Personal Data" means all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, in particular first and last name, date of birth, e-mail address, home address, as well as bank and payment data, but also health data, cf. Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR (details of an identified or identifiable natural person pursuant to § 3 (1) BDSG).
"Data Controller" according to Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR (formerly "Responsible Body" according to § 3 (7) BDSG) is any person or body that alone or together with others decides on the purposes and means of processing Personal Data. (present: the website operator).
2 Data Controller
The Data Controller for your Personal Data on this website is:

If any person other than the aforementioned body is the "Data Controller" within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation or the BDSG, you will be explicitly and separately notified, unless this is obvious.
3 Use of the Website
We automatically collect and store information in log files which is transmitted to us by your browser. This information consists of:
• Browser type/version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL (the previously visited website)
• Host name of the accessing computer (IP Address)
• Time of the server request
This data cannot be associated with specific people. This data will not be combined with data from other sources.
You can delete Cookies from the hard drive of your device at any time. However, we cannot rule out a restriction of the use of the website or a lower user friendliness. You can find more detailed information about Cookies on the websites of your browser manufacturer.
3.2 Disclosure of your data, use of service providers
We collect and use your data according to legal requirements and only for our own purposes. A passing on to so-called Third Parties does not take place, unless there is a legal obligation for this or you have consented to the passing on.
As far as we utilize other service providers to make our offer possible and possibly grant them necessary access to your data, we have of course concluded a contract for Contract Processing (in short: CP Contract) according to Art. 28 Data Protection Basic Regulation or § 11 BDSG with our service providers for Contract Processing (in short: Contract Processors). We also remain responsible for the protection of your data. Through the conclusion of the contract, the service providers used are not regarded as so-called Third Parties.
3.3 Communication via e-mail, contact form, telephone or fax
If you contact us via e-mail, fax, telephone or one of the usable contact forms, we will use your details to establish contact and for specific advice, as we can derive from your inquiry according to your request.
Your Personal Data will only be used further if permitted by law or if you have given your consent.
3.4 Duration of data use / retention
Your Personal Data will be deleted, provided that statutory retention obligations do not preclude this, if you have made use of your right to have the data deleted, if the data is no longer required for the purpose for which it was saved, or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.
3.5 Place of data use
Your data will normally be processed in Germany. In exceptional cases, information that you transmit to us may be stored on servers within the European Union (EU). If we, as "Data Controller" or "Responsible Body" deviate from this, we will notify you of this.
4 Integration of Third Party services and content
4.1 General information
In some cases, Third Party content, such as YouTube videos, maps from Google Maps or graphics from other websites are included as part of this online offer. This always requires that the IP Address of the user is visible to the provider of such content (hereinafter referred to as the "Third Party Provider"). Without the IP Address, the content could generally not be sent to the user's browser. The IP Address is therefore necessary in order to display this content. We try hard only to use content from providers who use the IP Address to deliver content, and for nothing else. However, we have no control over whether the Third Party Provider might, for example, save the IP Address for statistical purposes. If we know of any such usage, we notify the user.
4.3 Use of etracker
Our website uses etracker, a web analysis service of etracker GmbH. The data is collected and stored for marketing and optimization purposes. Usage profiles under a pseudonym can be created from this data. Cookies can be used to do this. The data collected using the etracker technologies will not be used to personally identify the user of the website or combined with the Personal Data pertaining to the bearer of the pseudonym without the explicitly granted approval of the person concerned. The permission to collect and store data may be revoked at any time with future effect.
If you do not wish Cookies to be stored, you can prevent this by making the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we explicitly point out that in this case not all functions of the website may be available to you. In cases where you merely wish to prevent etracker from processing your data, you can use an etracker opt-out cookie on the following website, which means that no visitor data from your browser will be collected and stored by etracker in future:
The opt-out cookie is called "cntcookie" and is set by etracker. It may not be deleted as long as you object to the data storage.
4.4 Use of Google Maps
On our website we have included the service "Google Maps" of Google Inc. (Google) to show you how you can reach us.
4.5 Use of Oxomi
We integrate online magazines via Oxomi.com ("Oxomi"), a product of scireum GmbH, on our website. To access the online magazines, Oxomi must be aware of the IP Address of the user, as without the IP Address, the content usually cannot be sent to your browser.
5 Data security / secure data transmission
We would like to inform you that security gaps can occur during data transfer on the Internet (e.g. via e-mail). It is therefore impossible to safeguard the data completely against access by Third Parties. We protect our IT systems (including the website(s)) by means of so-called technical and organisational measures (TOM for short) against unwanted entry, access, disclosure, input, loss and distribution as well as destruction and alteration by unauthorized parties.
Your Personal Data is transmitted securely over the Internet using the Secure Socket Layer coding system (128-bit SSL encryption).
