Brass
Characterized by its enormous versatility

The perfect material

Crucial for the individual application

Right from the start, we support you in selecting the best possible material, taking into account the area of application. Our many years of experience in the field of brass processing and the use of a large number of brass alloys enable us to take an objective view of the material issue.

As a member of various associations that deal intensively with materials, we are always up to date with regard to current and future regulations and can advise our customers in this regard and allow them to participate.

Know-How in all Facets

Directly from the start

We have been a member of the German Copper Association since the beginning of 2024. The copper association represents the interests of the copper industry, bundling the various specialist interests of copper processing companies and acting as the mouthpiece of the copper industry. The association offers extensive expert knowledge and is therefore the ideal point of contact for topics relating to copper processing and use.

As a member, we have the opportunity to actively participate in the work of the Kupferinstitut. We have direct access to the latest information and are in direct contact with experts at European and national level through the association's work. This gives us access to decades of industry knowledge.

In an extended technical working group, topics such as lead-free alloys through REACH and the Drinking Water Ordinance are dealt with intensively in order to further expand industry-specific expertise.

Alloys

The ideal material for your application

Thanks to our many years of experience in the field of brass processing and a wide range of materials that are processed and machined in our company, we are happy to be at your side to determine the optimum material for you and your product.

Reach

Lead in brass materials - a phase-out model

In 2018, lead was already included in the candidate list of substances of very high concern (SVHC list). Last year, the ECHA proposed including lead in Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation, which makes a ban on placing lead on the market or strict authorization likely from 2028.

This makes it all the more important for affected companies to address the issue in advance and look for lead-free alternatives, for example.

Ecobrass

The material of the future

To protect human health, we are already using the material of the future - ECOBRASS.
Cuphin is particularly resistant to corrosion. It stands for increased stability and exceptional durability. Thanks to its high copper content, the material makes a significant contribution to hygiene - making it particularly suitable for use in parts that come into contact with drinking water.

Know today what will be tomorrow

We are your partner when it comes to the treatment and processing of non-ferrous metals. Here you will find relevant information about alloys. We also take a look at the relevant regulations and in particular highlight the importance of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) in the context of these key materials.
