According to DIN EN 806-5, system separators must be checked annually for functional safety as part of maintenance to ensure that the technical components meet the high requirements for the protection of drinking water.
Health authorities are also paying more attention to the use of suitable safety devices and their proper functioning. The function of a system separator can be severely impaired by contamination, wear and improper use. In order not to endanger the quality of drinking water or the health of consumers, an annual inspection is essential.

PROCEDURE OF THE TESTING
Visual inspection and disassembly
The system separator is first visually inspected and then dismantled. Each individual component is checked.
Cleaning
The filter insert is cleaned professionally. If necessary, an extended cleaning is carried out.
Replacement of defective individual parts
If individual parts are found to be defective or damaged during the initial inspection, these components are replaced immediately. The system separator is then reassembled.
Testing
The function of the inlet non-return valve, the drain valve and the outlet non-return valve on the system separator are checked separately using an electronic test kit.
Test seal
If the test is passed, the system isolator is provided with a test seal. If the test is not passed, the defective components are replaced and a new test is carried out.
Test certificate
System separators with a test seal guarantee functional safety. A test certificate is therefore issued following the test.
