Drinking water disinfection
Special protection and safety in focus.
With the Drinking Water Directive 98/83 / EC, drinking water was placed under special protection in 1998 as the most important food. Drinking water hygiene is very important because drinking water has a major impact on human health. In the field of drinking water installation, this means that planning, construction and operation must be carried out in such a way that the installation does not cause any diseases.
Disinfection of drinking water distribution systems
In particular, mobile and time-limited water supply points, despite seemingly professional installation, involve serious and often hazardous risks, since both the mobile system and the entire public drinking water network can be contaminated by the unfortunate coincidence of various factors. Installations that are regularly used in different locations are particularly problematic here. For this reason, the cleaning and disinfection of standpipes and system separators has a very high priority.
The safety, certainty and sustainability of disinfecting plants or hoses are very important to us. For this reason, we use a special disinfection process. Why?
Sampling
The Drinking Water Ordinance regulates the limit values for the concentration of pathogens in drinking water in §5 "Microbiological Requirements". Furthermore, it specifies the inspection obligations and periods for large-scale commercial and public facilities to check for microbiological parameters such as Legionella. Legionella must be sampled in accordance with DVGW worksheet W 551 and DIN EN ISO 19458.
